Lawrence Lougheed is a member of the Royal Canadian College of Organists with extensive experience as church musician and high school music teacher.
His early studies in piano were completed at the Royal Conservatory of Music. He studied organ with Czech concert organist Dagmar Ledlova-Kopeky, and was an organ major at Queen’s University, studying with C. David Cameron.
Lawrence is a composer and recording artist, blending his classical training with improvisation in the contemporary style to create soothing, ambient and beautifully evocative music. He has released two CDs and is presently working on solo piano and synth-based projects.
He brings his experience as an organist, pianist, choir director, high school music teacher, composer and recording artist to the role of church Music Director. He is passionate about traditional and contemporary church music, and is comfortable with a wide range of church music styles.
We are continually looking for new members, to join our choir. We have a number of special events throughout the year which our choir participates in, the choir is like a family, they have fun and love what they do.
The choir meets, Thursday evening at 7:30pm, and also on Sundays at 9:45 am for practices. Although we operate under the care of the Rector and Wardens of The Epiphany Church as a not for profit service, we wish to be of assistance to people of all faiths and denominations.
Founded as a cemetery, our facilities include a Mausoleum, and since September 2001, Woodstock’s first Columbarium.
